My Viper ACR at Car Club Events...

Texas Road Racing event at Grand Sport Speedway

The TX2K2 event had it all. A Dyno day where the top performers produced over 860 hp to the wheels. The next day was the Road Racing course at Hitchcock and everyone had a great time. Then Sunday was drag racing at Rivercity Raceway. Below are some pictures from the road racing even. Pictures courtesy of Barry Anders.

SCCA Solo II Autocross Event

Here are some pictures from the SCCA Solo II event held at the Houston Police Academy. I made 3 timed runs, resulting in 47.9, 47.2, then a 47.0. These were very competitive times, even though I was running stock tires, and the suspension was still set to the softest settings from the factory.

It looks like I made a mess of the course, but actually I never hit one cone. The cones on their sides are directional cones to help you through the course.

11.852 @ 119.61 at Houston Raceway Park 1/4 Mile Track

I ran an 11.852 @ 119.61 in my bone stock 2000 Viper ACR at Houston Raceway Park. They were very unhappy about me running this fast and not having a roll cage. I was immediately sent back to tech inspection. Tech said I'll let you run again if you promise to let off near the end.

On the left you can see the green light start of the 1/4 mile pass. On the right you can see the amber finish light. If you look closely you can see me looking into the camera in the rear view mirror.

I also ran an 11.980 @ 118.65, but did not get as good of a launch as the 11.852 run.

Houston Raceway Park 1/4 Drag Event

Here you see a line up between 2 identical 2000 Viper ACRs.

It was the last race of the night for us and was really a battle of who could have less wheel spin.

As you can see I was the victor by a fairly good margin.
